This position reports to:
Service & Training Manager
B&R seeks to hire an Associate Technical Trainer - Automation Engineering to organize and lead technical training programs for internal and external customers related to B&R products, systems, and/or technologies in accordance with contract(s) and budget. B&R offers an excellent opportunity to work for an international company with a great reputation. You will be part of a fun, dynamic team, focused on providing the best products and services to our customers. Develops course materials and handles content delivery for technical training for customers, either in classroom or on-site. Also, responsible for post-training activities such as course feedback collection, possible corrective actions on course materials and equipment, etc.
The work model for the role is: #LI-Hybrid in our Alpharetta, GA office.
Key responsibilities:
  • Prepares and delivers training courses in classroom or on-site and follows up on post-training day activities (e.g., course feedback collection, and possible corrective action on course material and equipment).
  • Develops course material for classroom and on-site training in their own area of responsibility and advises on updates needed in e-learning material(s).
  • Creates and updates course descriptions and course programs.
  • Consider feedback given on courses and implement corrective action(s) when needed.
  • Keeps classroom facilities tidy and in a condition that enables safe implementation of training courses.
  • Procures and maintains course equipment for training courses in their own area of responsibility.
  • Supports Field Service team and other teams/units, when necessary, using their own expertise in technical support tasks and roles.
  • Responsible for ensuring excellent customer service and secure high level of customer satisfaction through each training.
  • Shares own expertise in service development.
  • Supports in course administration through planning and answering enquiries and proposals for training courses.
  • Additional responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications for the Role:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Mechatronic, Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related technical field) highly preferred, will consider relevant work experience
  • 0-2+ years' relevant experience or coursework in engineering and/or technical field
  • Interest and/or exposure in: motion control systems, embedded programming, mechanical and electrical systems, automation capabilities and relevant areas
  • Excellent written/verbal communications skills and customer-facing presentation skills
  • Ability to work efficiently both independently and as a part of a decentralized team
  • Domestic and international travel; up to 25% in North America; occasional International.
