It comprises three industry-leading businesses – Collins Aerospace Systems, Pratt & Whitney, and Raytheon. Its 185,000 employees enable the company to operate at the edge of known science as they imagine and deliver solutions that push the boundaries in quantum physics, electric propulsion, directed energy, hypersonics, avionics and cybersecurity. The company, formed in 2020 through the combination of Raytheon Company and the United Technologies Corporation aerospace businesses, is headquartered in Arlington, VA.

The following position is to join our RTX Enterprise Services team:

The Senior Manager - RTX ES Kinaxis Data Transformation role will primarily focus on the data integrations between SAP (Legacy ECC and to-be S4) and Kinaxis, first, building out the transformations design and then supporting ongoing maintenance throughout the S/4 implementations journey.  This role will also support the SIOP process data integrations between Kinaxis and SAP IBP, which is the anticipated “to-be” state tool for the RTX Aftermarket Planning teams to use in their daily activities.  The primary tool which will be leveraged for the data transformation build work will be Talend.  Finally, the Data Transformation role will build out and maintain the closed loop connectivity outbound from Kinaxis Maestro back to SAP (ECC & S4.)

What You Will Do:

  • Build Data Transformation logic in Talend to marry legacy SAP ECC extracts (which currently exist and feed Talend) with the to-be S4 extracts (which are being built by the SAP S4 team) and then feed the Kinaxis Maestro instances with a harmonized set of extracts combining the two feeds
  • Build outbound closed loop file from Kinaxis Maestro to SAP. The SAP S4 team will be responsible to load the closed loop file, but the Kinaxis Data Transformations role will ensure the outbound file meets the SAP S4 specifications
  • Support ongoing legacy ECC extract maintenance
  • Post “Go-Live” for each S4 site, ongoing maintenance of S4 extracts
  • Fulfill all RTX employee training requirements
  • Obtain RTX CORE Champion certification
  • Support PST (SAP S4/ SAP IBP) implementation timelines and various corresponding Integration Test Cycles as each site rollout occurs
  • Modify/Update the Data Transformations design and build as ongoing data needs dictate to support each successive S4 / IBP implementation cycle
  • Monitor and adjust data extract and transformation maintenance to ensure system data updates occur to drive System uptime and availability
  • Prepare project status update reports as requested in support of PST project
  • Drive continuous improvement in data update efficiency
  • Participate in Quarterly Product Increment (PI) Planning events to identify following quarter focus activities

Qualifications You Must Have:

  • Bachelor’s in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems or a related quantitative field with 10 years of related experience
  • Cloud data engineering certification or related work experience >5 years
  • ETL & Data Integrations certification or related work experience >7 years – preferably with Qlik/Talend
  • General Data management certification (CDMP) or related work experience >10 years
  • Previous experience working with Kinaxis RapidResponse / Kinaxis Maestro in data integration role with knowledge of data integration patterns, ETL/ELT, APIs, and messaging protocols (REST, SOAP, OPC).
  • SQL proficiency — specifically the ability to explore unfamiliar database schemas and write extraction queries with little or no documentation.
  • Direct experience working with customer or client IT teams to negotiate and establish data access (firewall rules, VPN connectivity, service accounts, API credentials).
  • Expertise in data integration tools and platforms (e.g. Informatica, Talend) with proficiency in big data platforms and analytics tools (Power BI, Tableau) and a familiarity with DevOps tools and practices
