Registered Nurse

Pay rate: $55.00 per hour (W-2) or $60.00 per hour (1099)

Job location: Central Regional Hospital -Morganton, NC

Hours: Monday-Friday, (rotating shifts, etc.) First (7:00 am-3:30 pm; Second (3:00 pm-11:30 pm); Third (11:00 pm-7:30 pm)

Job Description:

Primary Purpose of the Organizational Unit

The Nursing Department is responsible for providing 24-hour nursing care to patients at every stage of life, diagnosis, physical and mental condition. This includes assessment of each patient’s needs specific to their age and legal status. Nursing care is planned and interventions are performed to assure those needs are met and evaluated for effectiveness.

Primary Purpose of the Position

The position is to provide psychiatric-mental health nursing care and direct supervision to other licensed and non-licensed staff on the patient care units (during their assigned shift). This care includes the treatment of actual or potential mental health and medical problems. Supervision includes rotating in the charge nurse role and appropriately delegating task and responsibilities to other staff.
