We are seeking a creative, organized, and detail-orientated Marketing Coordinator to support the development and implementation of marketing, communications and outreach initiatives that promote transit services and increase public awareness and ridership. This position is responsible for producing graphic design materials, creating communication content, supporting social media and digital communications, assisting with rider education programs and supporting community outreach and internal communications for Sun Tran, Sun Van, Sun Link and Sun Shuttle services. The ideal candidate is a strong communicator with experience in marketing, design and public engagement who can manage multiple projects and represent the organization in both office and community settings.
QUALIFICATIONS:
This position requires a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Graphic Design or a related field. A minimum of two years of experience in marketing, communications, graphic design, public outreach, or a related field is required. Applicants should have experience with graphic design software, social media platforms and content management systems. Strong written, verbal, organizational and presentation skills are required. The ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and communicate effectively with diverse audience is essential. A valid driver’s license is required.
MAJOR FUNCTIONS:
• Develops and produces marketing, communications, and outreach materials to support transit services and increase public awareness and ridership.
• Creates and maintains customer-facing and internal communications, including marketing materials, social media content, schedules, service alerts, newsletters and presentations.
• Supports website content updates and digital communication efforts to ensure accurate and timely information.
• Assists with rider education programs, community outreach and transit presentations and represents the company at events and public functions.
• Supports marketing campaigns and coordinates communication activities with internal departments and external partners.
