Solid Surface Fabricator

Job Title: Solid Surface Fabricator

Department: Manufacturing

Reports To: Solid Surface Team Leader

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

Position Summary

Responsible for fabricating solid surface countertops, wall panels, and other custom structures or assemblies to meet customer specifications. This includes interpreting work orders and drawings, measuring and cutting materials, assembling components, and ensuring all finished products meet quality, safety, and aesthetic standards while adhering to project timelines.

Key Responsibilities

  • Fabricate solid surface countertops, wall panels or any other structures or assemblies that are required to meet customer needs or requirements.
  • Always perform job safely including wearing safety glasses and ask for help with lifting
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment
  • Strict adherence to personal/team safety standards
  • Perform job in cost-effective manner
  • Assist in other areas of the plant as needed or directed
  • Maintain a positive attitude toward personal, department, and company goals
  • Have respect for fellow employees and customers
  • Be on time and present for work daily
  • Take responsibility for getting the work done in a timely manner
  • Willing to share in any overtime
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Qualifications

  • Education:
    • High school diploma or GED diploma.
  • Skills:
    • Proficiency with the following hand tools: router, plunge router, cove router, palm sander, disc sander, jig saw, skill saw, chop saw, table saw.
    • Ability to read shop drawings, blueprints and cut lists
    • Ability to handle high dust environment and wear safety mask if/ when needed
    • Ability to visually differentiate between colors and textures
    • Ability to work in a dynamic, high-paced environment
    • Basic communication skills
    • Team player
    • Math skills such as adding, subtracting, division, decimals, and fractions
    • High attention to detail, focusing on quality and accuracy.
    • Clean and neat appearance
