The selected candidate will provide strategic leadership, operational oversight, and customer engagement to ensure successful delivery of mission-critical capabilities supporting national security objectives.
The Program Manager will serve as the primary interface between Leidos leadership, government customers, subcontractors, and cross-functional technical teams. This role requires extensive experience managing complex DoD programs, leading geographically dispersed teams, and executing programs within cost, schedule, and performance requirements. The ideal candidate possesses a strong combination of program management expertise and technical understanding across defense systems, mission operations, communications architectures, systems integration, cybersecurity, and modernization initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead all aspects of program execution, including cost, schedule, technical performance, staffing, and risk management.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for government customers and senior stakeholders.
  • Develop and execute program management strategies to support mission objectives and customer priorities.
  • Manage cross-functional teams consisting of engineering, operations, cybersecurity, logistics, and acquisition personnel.
  • Oversee program financial performance, including budgeting, forecasting, staffing plans, and resource allocation.
  • Ensure compliance with contract requirements, quality standards, and security policies.
  • Identify program risks and implement mitigation strategies to ensure mission success.
  • Prepare and deliver executive-level briefings, program reviews, status reports, and customer updates.
  • Coordinate with subcontractors, vendors, and partner organizations to support integrated program execution.
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Support business growth initiatives, capture activities, and strategic planning efforts as required.
  • Foster a collaborative and high-performance team environment focused on innovation and operational excellence.

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree and 8+ years of relevant program management experience supporting DoD or national security programs (additional experience may be considered in lieu of degree).
  • Demonstrated experience managing complex, multi-disciplinary defense programs.
  • 4+ years of experience supervising or leading teams or projects.
  • Experience supporting C4ISR, SATCOM, cyber, intelligence, cloud, network modernization, or defense technology programs.
  • Experience managing program cost, schedule, and technical performance within contractual requirements.
  • Experience interacting with senior government, military, and industry stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to lead large teams in fast-paced operational environments.
  • Ability to travel as required to support customer and program activities.
  • Strong understanding of defense systems integration, mission operations, communications systems, cybersecurity, or related technical domains.
  • Active Top Secret security clearance required.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Program Management Professional (PMP) certification.
  • Technical background in systems engineering, network operations, cybersecurity, software integration, or communications architectures.
  • Active TS/SCI clearance preferred.
