Job Description Allied Universal® is hiring a Security Account Manager to oversee a high-profile DOD security program supporting a government and defense contractor environment in the Baltimore, MD, area. In this role, you will lead all aspects of site security operations, ensuring compliance with contractual requirements, security protocols, and customer expectations while managing a team of security professionals supporting a sensitive and mission-critical facility. The Account Manager serves as the primary liaison between Allied Universal and the client, providing leadership, operational oversight, workforce management, compliance administration, and emergency response coordination. This position is ideal for a security manager with leadership experience in government, defense, military, law enforcement, industrial security, or cleared environments. Salary Range: $85,680 - $95,680 annually Location: Baltimore, MD (Onsite) Relocation Assistance: May be available for qualified candidates. Security Clearance: Active DoD Secret Clearance strongly preferred. Candidates without an active clearance may be considered if eligible to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Clearance. Contract personnel must ultimately meet applicable clearance requirements. Why Join Allied Universal? * Career Growth: Opportunities to advance within a global leader in security services * Impactful Work: Play a vital role in protecting people, property, and businesses * Supportive Team: Work with caring professionals dedicated to safety and excellence RESPONSIBILITIES: * Manage scheduling: Leverage AI-powered technology to effectively schedule security officers, meeting client contract hours while minimizing unbilled overtime * Lead and Develop Security Teams: Hire, coach and manage security officers and supervisors while overseeing payroll, performance, and employee relations * Enhance Client Relationships: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring high-quality service that protects people and property * Handle Security Incidents and Emergencies: Respond to escalated issues professionally, coordinating with clients and internal teams * Direct Compliance and Security Operational Excellence: Oversee training, safety, and site operational standards as well as managing inventory (uniforms, equipment, and other essential supplies) QUALIFICATIONS (MUST HAVE): * High school diploma or equivalent * Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment * Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Clearance. * Valid driver's license if driving a company vehicle, or personal vehicle while conducting business * Minimum two (2) years of leadership or management experience overseeing security personnel and site operations. * Minimum five (5) years of security, military, law enforcement, government contractor, or related security operations experience. * Experience in leading, developing, and retaining a dynamic team while building positive client relationships * Knowledge of emergency preparedness, physical security protocols, risk assessments, and law enforcement coordination * Proficiency in web-based applications and computer systems, including Microsoft Office * Ability to communicate effectively with clients and employees while managing multiple projects and driving operational excellence * Financial acumen; able to manage staffing levels while minimizing non-billed overtime and managing turnover costs; planning and organizing skills to control costs related to inventory (uniforms, equipment, etc.) PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (NICE TO HAVE): * Active DoD Secret Clearance. * Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice, Homeland Security, Business Administration, Security Management, or related field. * Security management experience within a Department of Defense, aerospace, defense contractor, federal government, industrial security, or critical infrastructure environment. * Knowledge of NISPOM, Industrial Security programs, SCI, and SAP requirements. * Military leadership or law enforcement supervisory experience. * ASIS CPP, PSP, or other security-related professional certifications. * Experience managing security systems including access control, CCTV, visitor management, and badge administration. * Previous experience administering security clearances or supporting personnel in cleared environments. * Experience with payroll, scheduling, workforce management, and compliance reporting BENEFITS: * Medical, dental, vision, retirement plan, basic life, AD&D, and disability insurance * Eight paid holidays annually, five sick days, and four personal days * Vacation time is offered at an accrual rate of 3.08 hours biweekly.
