Job description

In this role, you will provide full spectrum Program Security and Security Operations Support to the Bombers PAE within the US Air Force Life Cycle Management Center at Wright-Patterson AFB in Dayton, Ohio.
Essential Job Functions:
You will assist by providing Bombers PAE security operations support. You will assist by preparing and coordinating security-related briefing materials. You will provide security-related technical assistance to the Bombers PAE for briefings, meetings, and conferences.
You will assist by recording and tracking security program action items and suspenses. You will assist with managing newcomer and security-related databases. You will assist with providing special administrative and logistical assistance for the directorate visitor control function.
You will maintain an active Defense Information System for Security (formerly Joint Personnel Adjudication System) account and assist with verifying personnel security clearances. You will assist with processing personnel security investigation documents, reviewing the investigation documents for accuracy, and tracking submitted requests for personnel security clearances.
You will assist with the development of security requirements into contractual commitments. You will assist with the coordination of DD Form 254, DoD Contract Security Classification Specification.
You will assist personnel with completing personnel security investigation paperwork, review packages for accuracy and assist with tracking personnel security clearances.
You will operate the installed access control system to the acquisition complex serving over 5000 users. Prior to granting access, you will verify credentials, associated access paperwork, issue identify badges, grant authorized access and enforce strict access control procedures and processes with zero defects.
You will assist with a wide range of security management, analytical, technical, and support services for programs managed by DoW, USAF, AFMC, AFLCMC, and the Bombers PAE and its specific programs.
You will be the focal point for security, analyze security procedures, and coordinate/recommend solutions on security deficiencies with the assigned Government security task lead.
You will support the implementation of information, personnel and industrial security programs to ensure classified material is protected according to DoW, USAF, AFMC, AFLCMC, Bombers PAE, Division, and program directives.
You will support the implementation of the resource protection, force protection, and anti-terrorism programs IAW DoW, USAF, AFMC, AFLCMC, Bombers PAE, Division, and program security policy/instructions.
You will be responsible for end of day safety and security checks for assigned facilities within the Bombers PAE.
You will identify security issues and recommend changes to DoW, USAF, AFMC, AFLCMC, Bombers PAE, Division and program security policy/instructions for consideration to the Government security lead.
You will conduct analyses of procedures regarding the handling, controlling, storage and disposition of classified or critical weapon system hardware, to include installed components. You will document and submit reports on the results of the analyses, including recommended actions.
You will be proficient at evaluating measures that are designed to deny access to unauthorized personnel (including attackers or even accidental intruders) from physically accessing a building, facility, resource, or stored information; and guidance on how to design structures to resist potentially hostile acts.
Required Skills:
Due to the sensitivity of customer related requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required.
Requires an active TS/SCI.
Has a minimum of 5 years of experience performing full time DoW security functions or a Bachelor's degree plus 3 years of full time security functions.
You will need to be Level-1 certified in the Defense Security Service (DSS), Security Professional Education Development Program. In lieu of certification, you must demonstrate currency with other DSS training pertaining to information, personnel, industrial and physical security programs through DSS.
