Your work environment at EXP
In this role, you will be a part of the Contract Administration team of the Transportation sector, based in our Ottawa, Brampton, Markham, Hamilton or London Ontario office(s) and have the opportunity to work on the MTO and municipal projects. 
What a day at EXP has in store for you

    Monitor construction contracts to ensure quality control and assurance are maintained and works are performed to contractual obligations between EXP and the Client.
    Proven ability to read drawings for MTO or municipal Civil construction projects.
    Prepare various internal reports, correspondences, and other status reports for assigned projects.
    Monitoring project budget, expenses, payment terms, and other financial obligations
    Review Contractor's submittals (critical path schedules, change proposals, etc.) for compliance with contractual obligations and advise Client and Contractor accordingly.
    Negotiate change orders and construction claims.
    Coordinate review of shop drawings, RFIs & Information Requests (IRs).
    Review environmental and traffic control plans installed and advise of any discrepancies.
    Ensure compliance with design standards, Ontario Provincial Standard Specifications/Standard Drawings (OPSS/OPSD's), and methods and materials associated with the work.
    Site inspection as needed and daily reporting of Contractor's work in compliance with OPSS /OPSD and other standards as well as OHSA and other related laws.
    Provide updates and reports to Project Manager.

What your experience looks like

    At least 4+ years' experience with a focus on the construction phase of MTO or municipal projects.
    Demonstrated experience as a Contract Administrator on at least two (2) previous projects.
    P.Eng. or OACETT C.Tech. or CET with rcca designation is required.
    Must have completed the MTO TLT-131 Advanced Issues Resolution course after October 2019.
    Familiarity with MTO's CMS system.
    Preparing various internal/external reports and other status reports to client.
    Review of contractor submissions (critical path schedules, field changes, monthly payment certificates etc.) for compliance with contractual obligations.
    Respond to public complaints as requested by the Owner.
    Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
    Proven analytical and negotiation skills.
    Previous experience using AutoCAD Civil 3D would be considered an asset.
    Possess a valid driver's license and reliable vehicle for travel to construction site.
    Able to work overtime on weekends and nights as required.
    The successful candidate will be a detail-oriented self-starter with enthusiasm, flexibility, and motivation.

The salary range for this role is between $80K to $120K. The actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience, certifications, and specific work location.
