Job description

We are seeking a Salesforce amp; Customer Platform Architect to lead the design, integration, and governance of our customer technology ecosystem.
This role is responsible for Salesforce architecture across Sales, Service, Marketing, and B2B Commerce, while ensuring tight integration with SAP (ERP), Snowflake (data platform), and Enterprise analytics (Power BI).
The Architect will operate at the intersection of business capability, data architecture, and system integration, ensuring scalable, compliant, and high-performing solutions that support our fundraising and B2B/B2C business models.
This is a hands-on architecture role that balances:
  • Strategic platform design
  • Enterprise data and integration architecture
  • AI and Agentic solutions
  • Governance, compliance, and operational excellence
Core ResponsibilitiesSalesforce Platform Architecture amp; Delivery
  • Define and maintain the end-to-end Salesforce architecture across:
    • Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Marketing Cloud, and B2B Commerce
  • Translate business requirements into scalable, maintainable solutions:
    • Data models, Process automation, and UI/UX
  • Serve as the technical design authority for all Salesforce initiatives:
    • Solution design, estimation and planning, and design reviews and approvals
  • Ensure platform scalability, performance, and maintainability while managing technical debt
2. Enterprise Integration Architecture (SAP, Snowflake, External Systems)
  • Own the integration architecture between Salesforce and Enterprise Business Systems, including:
    • SAP (order-to-cash, pricing, invoicing, customer master)
    • Snowflake (data warehouse and analytics platform)
    • Transportation Management System (TMS – Redwood)
  • Define and enforce:
    • API design standards (REST, event-driven architectures)
    • Integration patterns (real-time vs batch vs event streaming)
    • Data contracts and system SLAs
  • Collaborate with integration teams to ensure:
    • Reliability and observability of integrations
    • Error handling and reconciliation processes
3. Enterprise Data Architecture amp; Governance
  • Define system-of-record ownership across platforms:
    • SAP (financials, order delivery, invoicing)
    • Salesforce (customer engagement and pipeline, order entry)
    • Snowflake (enterprise analytics and consolidation)
  • Architect and govern the Customer 360 strategy, ensuring consistency between:
    • Salesforce Data Cloud (future state)
    • Snowflake data models
    • Operational systems
  • Prevent duplication and fragmentation by:
    • Defining authoritative data sources
    • Aligning data models across platforms
    • Governing data synchronization strategies
  • Ensure data integrity, quality, and lineage visibility
4. Analytics amp; Reporting Alignment (Snowflake + Power BI)
  • Ensure alignment between Salesforce data and enterprise reporting standards
  • Define clear boundaries:
    • Salesforce → operational dashboards and workflows
    • Snowflake + Power BI → enterprise reporting amp; KPI’s, deep analytics and modeling
  • Partner with analytics teams to:
    • Standardize key metrics across systems
    • Prevent conflicting or duplicate reporting logic
5. Governance, Security amp; Compliance
  • Establish and enforce Salesforce platform governance, including:
    • Change management and release processes (CI/CD)
    • Environment and sandbox strategy
    • Code quality and review standards, including test class compliance
  • Ensure compliance with:
    • SOX, PII controls (where applicable)
    • Data security and access governance (role-based, field-level)
    • Auditability of system changes and data usage
  • Define and implement governance for:
    • Data access and sharing
    • External integrations
    • AI-enabled processes
6. DevOps amp; Platform Operations Oversight
  • Oversee DevOps processes using tools such as:
    • Gearset (current tool), Copado, or equivalent
  • Act as the final escalation point for:
    • Critical production issues
    • Performance optimization
    • Release coordination
  • Monitor platform health and:
    • Maintain uptime and reliability targets
    • Proactively manage technical debt
7. AI amp; Automation Strategy (Pragmatic Implementation)
  • Lead the evaluation, design, and rollout of AI-driven capabilities within Salesforce, including:
    • Snowflake event triggers workstream within Salesforce
    • Data Cloud-powered insights
    • Workflow automation
    • Emerging Agentforce use cases
  • Focus on practical, business-driven use cases, such as:
    • Customer service automation
    • Sales productivity enhancements

8. Business Alignment amp; Stakeholder Engagement
  • Partner with business leaders across:

  • Translate business strategy into:
    • Technology roadmaps and scalable platform capabilities
  • Act as a trusted advisor on:
    • Platform capabilities, trade-offs and solution design, and investment prioritization

QualificationsExperience
  • 6–8 years of experience in Salesforce architecture and solution design
  • Proven experience in integrating Salesforce with ERP systems (SAP preferred)
  • Experience working with Snowflake or similar enterprise data platforms
  • Experience in mid-market or enterprise environments with complex integrations
  • Experience with Agentforce and other AI based designs
Technical Expertise
  • Deep expertise in:
    • Apex, Flow, Lightning Web Components (LWC)
    • Salesforce data modeling and security architecture
  • Strong understanding of:
    • API design and integration patterns
    • Event-driven architecture concepts
    • Relational data modeling and ELT processes
    • Zero Copy methodology and architecture between Salesforce Data Cloud and external data warehouse, like Snowflake
  • Experience with DevOps tools and CI/CD practices
Data amp; Architecture Skills
  • Strong understanding of:
    • Data governance principles
    • System-of-record design
    • Customer data management (Customer 360 concepts)
  • Experience aligning operational systems with enterprise analytics platforms
Certifications
Required:
  • Salesforce Application Architect (or equivalent experience)
