Job description

Salesforce Developer
Remote
12-Month Contract
$60 - $75 per hour
U.S. citizenship or permanent residency and the ability to obtain a government security clearance are MANDATORY
ABOUT THE ROLE
Our federal government partner is seeking an experienced Salesforce Developer to support an active government contract. This is a remote, 12-month contract opportunity ideal for a developer with a strong foundation in Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), and Salesforce DX, who is comfortable operating in a secure, compliance-driven environment. The successful candidate will contribute to enterprise-scale Salesforce development, provide best practice guidance across the team, and help drive DevOps maturity and platform innovation. You will work closely with both internal and client teams to ensure secure, scalable, and high-quality solutions that meet federal requirements. U.S. citizenship or permanent residency and the ability to obtain a government security clearance are mandatory. If you have hands-on Salesforce development experience and an interest in supporting federal government operations, we encourage you to apply.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
  • Implement enterprise-scale Apex development patterns, including invokable methods, custom settings, and custom metadata types
  • Provide secure application development best practices and conduct code and architectural reviews across the team
  • Troubleshoot performance issues, system configuration problems, and data management challenges using debug logs and the developer console
  • Deliver Apex and Jest LWC unit testing best practice recommendations to improve code quality and coverage
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to drive platform innovation and DevOps maturity, including CI/CD optimization with Salesforce DX tooling
  • Partner with internal and client staff on security and compliance-related activities, from planning through execution and reporting
  • Analyze organizational capabilities and recommend process and performance improvements
WHAT YOU BRING
  • 3+ years of Salesforce experience with at least 2 years in a hands-on development role
  • Deep knowledge of Apex development patterns, invokable methods, custom settings, and custom metadata types
  • Experience with Salesforce DX CI/CD toolsets, Git-based version control, and multi-org environment troubleshooting
  • Ability to conduct code and architectural reviews with a focus on security, scalability, and best practices
  • Salesforce Certified Administrator and Platform Developer I required; Platform Developer II, Service Cloud Consultant, or Community Cloud Consultant a plus
  • General understanding of networking technologies and firewalls sufficient to distinguish platform-side from network-side root causes
  • U.S. Citizenship or Permanent Resident status required; must be able to obtain a government security clearance
  • Prior experience supporting federal government clients (nice to have)
