River City Transportis hiring full-timeCDL A OTR Dry Van Drivers Nationwide.At River City Transport, drivers aren't an afterthought they're the backbone of everything we do. As a family-owned, asset-based carrier with dedicated contracts serving some of North America's largest shippers, we offer the stability of a big carrier with the personal touch you won't find anywhere else. We're growing, and we want the right drivers to grow with us.

Compensation:

  • Average weeklypay range: $1,800 - $2,500
    • 60 - 67CPMexperience based rate
    • Average weekly miles: 3,000+
    • All miles paid, loaded & unloaded
  • Additional Pay:
    • Breakdown Pay: $150 per day if no replacement unit is available
    • Layover Pay: $150
    • Detention Pay: $25per hour after 2 free hours
    • Extra holiday pay: $150 incentive for driving on a holiday (8holidays per year)
    • Clean level 1inspection report: $100
  • Bonuses:
    • Sign-on bonus: $1,500 ($500 paid on first check, $1,000 paid after 6 months)
    • Referral bonus: $1,500 paid in increments over 1 year
    • Quarterly Safety Bonus: $250 - $1,000

Home Time, Route, & Schedule

  • Home time: 1 day home for each week on the road
    • Drivers in the following locations may get home more often: Dubuque IA, Indianapolis IN, Kansas City KS, Madison WI, Lancaster PA, Reno NV
  • Schedule: On the road 4- 6+ weeks at a time
  • Route: OTR 48 states
  • Level of Touch: 100% No-touch freight, 70% drop & hook

Equipment:

  • 2022 - 2027Freightliner & International Sleeper Trucks
  • Automatic transmission fleet
  • Amenities: Refrigerators, XM radio, new mattresses, heated & cooled seats
  • Governed Speed: 70MPH
  • Outward cameras, event triggered
  • ELD equipped using Samsara system

Qualifications:

  • Must be at least 23 years of age
  • Must have CDL A license
  • Must have a minimum of 2year verifiable commercial tractor-trailer driving experience
  • No DUI's or felony driving convictions in the last 5 years
  • No major violations in the last 3 years
  • No more than 3 minor violations in the last 3 years
  • Must meet Department of Transportation (DOT) testing and physical requirements and be knowledgeable of DOT regulations
  • Must be able to pass a background check and required pre-employment drug screen
