Job Title: Automation Technician
Location: Libertyville, IL
 

Job Summary:
We are seeking an Automation Technician with 4+ years of hands-on experience in injection molding automation, robot programming, and troubleshooting.

Mandatory Requirements:

  • 4+ years of injection molding automation or related experience.
  • Hands-on experience with robot programming and troubleshooting.
  • Strong knowledge of PLCs, HMIs, servo motors, motion control, VFDs, sensors, and pneumatic/hydraulic systems.
  • Experience with EOAT (End-of-Arm Tooling).
  • Ability to read electrical and mechanical schematics.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Troubleshoot molding robots, conveyors, sensors, and vision systems.
  • Program and optimize Sepro, Fanuc, Yushin, or Wittmann molding robots.
  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on automation equipment.
  • Support mold trials, new product launches, and automation setup.
  • Improve cycle time, reliability, and automation performance.
  • Maintain robot programs, backups, and maintenance records.
  • Follow ISO, FDA, GMP, and safety requirements where applicable.

Education:
High School Diploma/GED required. Technical certification or Associate’s degree in Mechatronics, Robotics, or Industrial Automation preferred.
