Combined, Instinct Science offers an ecosystem that veterinarians rely on for every aspect and stage of their careers.

At Instinct Science, we believe in leading with compassion. Our team, our customers, and their patients and clients are the foundation of everything we do. Our culture is guided by our U.C.A.R.E. values: We move fast because our mission matters, we put customers at the center of every decision, and we treat each other with kindness and high standards.

A Sneak Peek of Your Role ๐Ÿ”ญ

This is a fully remote role.ย

As a Senior Product Designer, you'll shape how veterinary professionals experience Instinct's platform every day. You'll partner closely with Product Managers, Engineers, and cross-functional stakeholders to turn user needs and product strategy into workflows and interfaces that are intuitive, scalable, and grounded in how veterinary teams actually work.

What You'll Do ๐Ÿ› ๏ธ

  • Lead design for complex features and workflows across the platform
  • Translate user research and product requirements into flows, layouts, and end-to-end experiences
  • Partner with PMs and Engineers from early discovery through to shipped product
  • Advocate for user-centered design practices across the team
  • Contribute to and help evolve our design system and standards
  • Create sketches, wireframes, prototypes, interactive demos, and comprehensive drafts to support the shaping of feature requirements, using Figma or similar design and prototyping tools
  • Evolve and protect the softwareโ€™s visual language
  • Define the user experience for a variety of flows
  • Analyze the current product, working requirements, and user stories to identify pain points and find iterative solutions
  • Communicate effectively with the product team and contribute with shaping feature requirements

Who You Are ๐Ÿฑโ€๐Ÿ’ป

  • Must Haves:
    • 4+ years of SaaS based product design work, preferably in the healthcare tech space
    • Design portfolio to share with us. Please include a link in the "website, blog or portfolio" section of the job application
    • Prior demonstrated experience collaborating with other SaaS product team members (Engineers, PMs, etc.)
    • Ability to balance multiple priorities and goals without a compromise for quality
    • Expertise of design methodologies in user research and testing
    • Strong knowledge of design systems, libraries, and style guides
    • Open to critical feedback and committed to collaborative work with internal and external stakeholders
    • Experience and focus around iteration and innovation
    • Expert level aptitude with Figma, or similar product

How Instinct will Care about YOU ๐ŸŒž

  • We offer a supportive and caring work environment.
  • We are transparent, open, honest, and empathic, both internally and externally.
  • We pay our team well.ย
  • We offer medical, dental and vision benefits and 401K with match.
  • We give our team owner-like flexibility over work and time-off, including time to innovate and Flow State Fridays.
  • We offer a generous stipend that can be used for almost anything to allow you to bring your best self to work.
  • We provide all-expense-paid time throughout the year together, including at our annual retreat.

The compensation range for this role is $120,000 - $150,000. Actual compensation will be determined through a variety of factors including the candidate's skills, qualifications, and experience.

Instinct is an equal opportunity employer committed to equality and providing a pleasant work environment free from harassment or discrimination in any form. All employees will be treated equally without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, family or parental status, national origin, ancestry, veteran, or disability status.
