Contract Remote Sales information

What is a contract remote sales professional?

A contract remote sales job involves working as an independent contractor, rather than a full-time employee, to sell products or services for a company from a remote location. These roles typically focus on finding and closing sales leads, managing client relationships, and meeting sales targets, all without needing to go to a physical office. Contract remote sales professionals enjoy flexible schedules and the ability to work from anywhere, but do not usually receive traditional employee benefits like health insurance or paid time off. Compensation is often commission-based or a mix of base pay and commission, depending on the contract.

How does a contract remote sales professional typically collaborate with in-house teams and clients?

As a contract remote sales professional, effective collaboration is key to success. You will regularly communicate with in-house teams such as marketing, product, and customer support via video calls, emails, and collaboration platforms to align on goals, share client feedback, and stay updated on product offerings. Building strong virtual relationships with both colleagues and clients is essential, as you often act as the bridge between the customer and the company. Proactive communication, timely follow-ups, and participation in virtual meetings are common practices to ensure everyone stays informed and aligned.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a contract remote sales professional?

To thrive as a Contract Remote Sales professional, you need strong sales acumen, negotiation abilities, and a proven track record in closing deals, often supported by a bachelor’s degree in business or a related field. Familiarity with CRM platforms like Salesforce, virtual meeting tools, and e-signature software is typically required. Exceptional communication, self-motivation, and time management skills help you build relationships and meet targets in a remote environment. These skills and qualities are crucial for independently driving revenue and maintaining client satisfaction without in-person supervision.

  • Sales Strategy & Execution: Develop and implement a comprehensive sales strategy for the NAM market, identifying key growth opportunities, target segments, and effective go-to-market tactics.
  • Pipeline & Revenue Growth: Take ownership of the NAM sales pipeline from lead to close, ensuring predictable and consistent revenue growth.
  • Process Optimization: Continuously refine and improve sales processes, tools, and methodologies to increase efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with Marketing, Customer Success, and Product teams to ensure alignment, provide market feedback, and contribute to the overall success of the company.
  • Market Expertise: Serve as an expert on the NAM vacation rental market, staying informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to inform sales strategy.

  • Data-Driven: Strong analytical skills with the ability to use data to drive decisions, forecast accurately, and manage team performance.
  • Excellent Communicator: Exceptional verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills. You are a natural coach and relationship-builder.
  • Self-Starter: Proactive, organized, and able to thrive in a fast-paced, autonomous remote work environment.
  • Industry Experience: Proven experience in the vacation rental, property management, or hospitality technology (PropTech/HospiTech) industry is a bonus.

  • 100% Remote: Enjoy the freedom to work from anywhere within your country of residence-be it a co-working space, your home office, or even your dining room table. The choice is yours. Just don't ask to work in our office (we don't have one).
  • Equity: Every role in our company comes with valuable stock options in a fast-growing and profitable company. This ensures we all share in the company's success.
  • Values-Driven Leadership: Our Core Values are not just words we've written to make us feel good. We leverage them daily when making strategic and tactical decisions.
