Job description

About us:
Working at Tech Holding isn't just a job, it's an opportunity to be a part of something bigger. We are a full-service consulting firm that was founded on the premise of delivering predictable outcomes and high-quality solutions to our clients. Our founders and team members have industry experience and have held senior positions in a wide variety of companies - from emerging startups to large Fortune 50 firms - and we have taken our combined experiences and developed a unique approach that is supported by the principles of deep expertise, integrity, transparency, and dependability.
The Role:
We are seeking a senior Data Architect to design and govern the data layer of a large-scale Ad Tech platform transformation.
This person will be responsible for understanding the current-state data landscape, defining the future-state architecture, and designing scalable data models and integration patterns across ad delivery, audience segmentation, campaign reporting, inventory, and billing.
The ideal candidate has strong experience designing enterprise data foundations, conducting exploratory data analysis, architecting batch and real-time data pipelines, and integrating complex legacy systems with modern cloud-native platforms.
Experience designing data models for real-time inventory, order management, logistics, or supply chain systems is required..
What you will do:
  • Design scalable conceptual, logical, and physical data models for ad delivery, audience segmentation, campaign reporting, inventory, and billing.
  • Map data relationships, dependencies, and flows across existing systems and ensure critical dependencies are preserved in the future-state architecture.
  • Conduct exploratory data analysis across raw and existing datasets to develop a comprehensive understanding of the current-state data landscape.
  • Profile existing data sources, inventory and characterize data assets, assess data quality, and identify gaps, inconsistencies, duplication, and integration risks.
  • Define data ingestion, transformation, and orchestration patterns across batch and real-time data streams.
  • Design data architectures that support high-volume events such as ad impressions, click activity, audience signals, inventory changes, and campaign transactions.
  • Architect cloud-native data solutions using AWS services and technologies such as relational databases, graph databases, retrieval-augmented generation, and vector databases.
  • Define integration patterns between legacy systems and a modern microservices-based platform.
  • Ensure data interfaces, schemas, contracts, relationships, and system dependencies are clearly defined and documented.
  • Establish data governance standards across lineage, cataloging, data quality, access controls, privacy, security, and lifecycle management.
  • Collaborate closely with cloud services, engineering, architecture, product, and business teams across multiple workstreams.
  • Maintain data architecture artifacts including entity relationship diagrams, data flow diagrams, schema definitions, data dictionaries, and architecture decision records.

Required Skills:
  • 8+ years of experience in data architecture, enterprise data platforms, data engineering, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated experience designing and governing complex enterprise data architectures.
  • Experience with graph OR vector databases, semantic retrieval, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG,) or agentic AI use cases.
  • Strong experience designing conceptual, logical, and physical data models.
  • Experience designing data models for real-time inventory, order management, logistics, or supply chain systems.
  • Strong experience conducting exploratory data analysis and profiling complex enterprise data sources.
  • Experience designing batch, streaming, event-driven, and real-time data architectures.
  • Strong experience architecting cloud-native data solutions using AWS services.
  • Experience with relational databases and modern cloud data platforms.
  • Strong understanding of APIs, microservices, data contracts, integration architecture, and interoperability across legacy and modern systems.
  • Strong knowledge of metadata, lineage, cataloging, governance, data quality, security, and access controls.
  • Ability to assess a complex current-state environment and translate findings into a practical future-state architecture and implementation roadmap.
  • Strong communication, documentation, and stakeholder management skills.

Must have:
  • Experience with advertising technology, media, digital advertising, campaign management, or audience data platforms.
  • Experience working with high-volume transactional or event-based data.
  • Experience supporting data platform modernization or large-scale transformation programs.
  • Consulting or client-facing experience.
  • Experience collaborating with cloud professional services teams.

What we offer:
  • Contract role with a high-impact client
  • Exposure to cutting-edge technologies and fast-paced digital innovation
  • Opportunity to influence data strategy and architecture for a leading brand in the sports/media space
