Job description

The Quality Inspector is responsible to ensure products and incoming materials meet applicable contract, drawings, specifications, and written requirements per inspection instructions.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Performs final visual and dimensional inspections of products
  • Inspects incoming materials and parts from suppliers to ensure they conform to specifications
  • Dispositions product according to written procedures and work instructions
  • Maintains inventory location and status via barcode scanning and electronic database
  • Maintains and updates documentation of records via FilePro, written documentation and spreadsheets
  • Assists and performs sort activities (internal / external)
  • Communication with Quality Engineers, Supervisors and Cell Leads
  • Any other task assigned by manager

Job Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Strong communication skills
  • IPC-A-610 Certified
  • IPC-A-620 Certified
  • J-STD-001 Certified
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Ability to read and interpret drawings
  • Ability to use a microscope and handheld gages
  • Ability to work independently and as a team
  • Ability to lift to 40 pounds, occasionally
  • Willing to work overtime as needed
  • Ability to pass a Visual Acuity Exam
