Job Title: Quality InspectorJob Description

This role focuses on end-of-line visual quality inspection of automotive driveline components, including halfshaft assemblies and CV joints, to ensure products meet established quality criteria before final shipment. Quality Inspectors work on a fast-paced production line, feeding raw materials, monitoring processes, and preparing finished parts for packing and palletizing while maintaining a clean and organized work area.

Responsibilities
  • Inspect parts and components according to defined quality criteria and work instructions.
  • Perform detailed visual inspection of assembled parts in accordance with Work Instructions and Quality Alerts.
  • Feed raw materials onto the production line to support continuous operations.
  • Monitor the production process to identify issues and help maintain consistent product quality.
  • Carry out basic quality and testing checks as required.
  • Pack finished products following documented work instructions to prepare them for shipment.
  • Lift parts onto pallets and racks to stage products for final shipment.
  • Perform other production-related activities as instructed by leadership.
  • Clean and organize the workplace to maintain a safe, efficient, and orderly environment.
  • Communicate effectively with coworkers to support efficient production flow and meet deadlines.
  • Stand for extended periods throughout the shift while performing inspection and production tasks.
  • Participate in continuous training related to production and quality duties as assigned.
Essential Skills
  • Experience performing quality inspection or visual inspection in a production or warehouse environment.
  • Ability to lift up to 35 pounds repetitively and safely throughout the shift.
  • Ability to squat, bend, and duck as needed to inspect and handle parts.
  • Ability to stand on feet for the full duration of the scheduled shift.

  • Ability to perform general labor and general production tasks as needed.

Work Environment

The role is based in a renovated, climate-controlled facility that includes a 30,000 sq. ft warehouse space off the main manufacturing floor, within a larger 150,000 sq. ft building. The plant is kept spotless, emphasizing cleanliness and organization. Work is performed on production lines handling automotive driveline components, with tasks that require standing for most of the shift and lifting up to 35 pounds repeatedly. Schedules follow four 10-hour shifts per week, with A Crew working Tuesday through Friday from 5:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. and B Crew working Monday through Thursday from 4:00 p.m. to 2:30 a.m. Overtime may occur on the unscheduled weekday and occasionally on weekends when needed. Steel-toe safety footwear is required on day one, and employees work in standard industrial attire suitable for a manufacturing and warehouse environment.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $17.75 - $17.75/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
