Quality Inspector – 2nd Shift (Direct Hire)

The Adecco Permanent Recruitment team is seeking a Quality Inspector for a direct-hire opportunity with a leading aerospace manufacturer in Warren, MI. This is an excellent opportunity to join a stable and growing company producing precision components for both commercial and military aerospace programs.

We're looking for a detail-oriented Quality Inspector with experience inspecting precision machined components, operating CMM equipment, interpreting engineering drawings, and ensuring products meet strict aerospace quality standards.

  • 2nd Shift: Monday–Friday

  • 3:30 PM - 12:00 AM

  • Overtime available

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform first-piece, in-process, and final inspections of precision machined components.

  • Operate and/or program Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM) to inspect and verify part dimensions.

  • Conduct dimensional, visual, and mechanical inspections using established procedures and documentation.

  • Perform receiving inspections on incoming materials and components.

  • Verify parts meet customer specifications, engineering drawings, and quality standards.

  • Identify nonconforming products and follow established quality procedures for documentation and disposition.

  • Use precision measuring equipment, including micrometers, calipers, bore gauges, borescopes, and other inspection instruments.

  • Read and interpret engineering drawings, CAD models, blueprints, and GD&T requirements.

  • Collaborate with production and engineering teams to identify root causes and support corrective actions.

  • Maintain accurate inspection records while following all quality, safety, and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED required.

  • Minimum 2 years of quality inspection experience in an aerospace or manufacturing environment.

  • Experience operating and/or programming Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM) preferred.

  • Working knowledge of ISO 9001 and/or AS9100 quality management systems.

  • Strong understanding of Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T).

  • Proficiency using precision measuring equipment and inspection techniques.

  • Strong mathematical and analytical skills.

  • Excellent attention to detail with the ability to consistently produce accurate inspection results.

  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and teamwork skills.

Additional Requirements
  • This position supports defense-related manufacturing and is subject to U.S. Export Control regulations (ITAR/EAR).
