Schedule: 2nd Shift (M-F: 3:30pm-12am)
Aerospace Quality Inspector - Belcan is recruiting for an experienced Quality Inspector to support a leading aerospace manufacturer in Warren, Michigan. This position is responsible for inspecting precision-machined aerospace components throughout the manufacturing process to ensure they meet customer, engineering, and quality standards.
***Aerospace quality inspection experience is required for this role. ***
- Shift: 2nd Shift (12% Shift differential - Schedule: M-F: 3:30pm-12am)
- $3k Sign on Bonus
As a Quality Inspector, you will:
- Perform first article, in-process, final, and receiving inspections on precision-machined aerospace components
- Inspect parts for dimensional accuracy, surface quality, and overall conformance to engineering requirements
- Operate Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM) and other precision inspection equipment
- Perform dimensional, visual, and mechanical inspections using established quality procedures
- Identify non-conforming products and document inspection findings
- Work closely with production personnel to resolve quality concerns
- Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and CAD models
- Ensure all products meet customer specifications and aerospace quality standards
- Complete inspection documentation accurately and thoroughly
Required Experience:
✔ Aerospace quality inspection experience
✔ Experience inspecting precision-machined components
✔ Experience using precision inspection tools, including:
- Micrometers
- Calipers
- Bore gauges
- Gauges and other inspection equipment
✔ Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints
✔ Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
✔ High School Diploma or GED
Preferred Qualifications - Candidates with the following experience are strongly preferred:
- GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing)
- Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) programming and/or operation
- AS9100 and/or ISO 9001 quality systems
- First Article Inspection (FAI)
- CAD model interpretation
- Root cause analysis and problem-solving experience
