We are looking to add a Senior Supplier Quality Engineer to our team. If you enjoy working in a startup environment and are passionate about developing leading-edge electronics for satellites, spacecraft, and aerospace systems, we would like to hear from you.
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Implement and maintain supplier quality processes and documentation in accordance with AS9100, leveraging business systems functionalities to drive process efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Work cross-functionally with engineering, operations, supply chain to ensure supplier flow down and compliance to QMS, customer, industry, regulatory/statutory, and any applicable requirements.
  • Maintain approved suppliers including supplier qualification, periodic performance review, supplier relationship management, risk assessment, and removal, if needed.
  • Provide technical guidance, support, and training to suppliers to ensure alignment to CesiumAstro requirements for execution.
  • Collaborate with design engineering to ensure suppliers design for manufacturability (DFM) considerations are incorporated.
  • Perform nonconformance investigation and drive root cause corrective action when supplier issues occur.
  • Support disposition of nonconformances including rework, scrap, and RMA.
  • Monitor and drive supplier corrective actions requests (SCARs) when escalated.
  • Establish and analyze supplier performance metrics including defect rate, nonconformances, on-time delivery, cost of rework/scrap, and supplier corrective action resolution.
  • Use performance data to drive strategic partnerships and develop supplier capability with key suppliers.
  • Perform supplier site audits and source inspection as needed.
  • Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives.

JOB REQUIREMENTS AND MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality, or a related technical field.
  • 5-8 years of supplier quality experience in aerospace and defense industries.
  • Experience managing suppliers for space-grade machining, PCBs, PCBAs, integrated assemblies, and test.
  • Demonstrated skills in supplier management, leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to interpret engineering documentation, requirements, and other supplier flow downs.
  • Experience with certified quality management systems such as AS9100 or ISO 9001.
  • Expertise in root cause analysis methodologies and corrective action implementation.
  • Experience with aerospace and electronics manufacturing.

$115,000 - $136,000 a year
