Job description

Contract Python UI Developer

MUST be local to New York City, 5 Days Onsite

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and implement enterprise-grade RESTful API integrations supporting Structured Products and Derivatives businesses.
  • Build seamless connectivity between internal pricing, trading, and risk platforms and external vendor platforms including SIMON, Luma, HALO, and similar structured products ecosystems.
  • Collaborate with Front Office Trading, Sales, Quantitative Research, Product Control, and Technology teams to define integration requirements and deliver production-ready solutions.
  • Design and maintain API contracts, payload mappings, data transformation frameworks, and integration specifications.
  • Implement secure authentication and authorization mechanisms using OAuth2, API Keys, Bearer Tokens, and related security standards.
  • Develop scalable and resilient distributed systems capable of supporting high-volume trading and transaction workflows.
  • Implement comprehensive monitoring, logging, alerting, retry mechanisms, and error handling frameworks to ensure operational stability.
  • Support the complete trade lifecycle, including trade capture, pricing, execution, allocation, and downstream processing.
  • Participate in architecture reviews, code reviews, production support, and system optimization initiatives.
  • Work closely with infrastructure and DevOps teams to support deployment automation and platform reliability.
  • Produce technical documentation, integration specifications, and support procedures.
