Job description

Job Title: Data Analyst – Level 3

Location: Onsite in Menands NY

Contract Duration: 08/31/2026 – 11/31/2027

Scope of Work: 

The contractor will provide data analysis and management for various COVID Data Dashboard and distribution of COVID data to external entities and the public. The contractor will also perform data management and analytic tasks including researching and documenting technical designs, programming solutions, writing and executing unit test plans, researching, resolving, and testing defects, customer technical support, and close collaboration with other team members.

Mandatory Qualifications:

  • This position requires at least a bachelor’s degree in Data Engineering, Computer Science, MIS or equivalent from an accredited institution. A copy of the degree must be submitted with the Candidate Proposal Response.
  • 6 year’s experience with development in medium to large-scale technical projects and assuring deliverables and project scope are met and well documented
  • 6 year’s experience with data analytics including processing, reporting, transformation, visualization.
  • Candidate must be legally authorized to work in the United States.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 6 year’s experience with Python based data analytics projects
  • 6 year’s experience with relational and NoSQL databases (like Oracle, Postgres, MongoDB, DynamoDB, etc) containing large amounts of data (greater than 10 million rows
  • 6 year’s experience with developing and maintaining data processing and ETL pipelines
  • 6 year’s experience with developing cloud native and hybrid applications using serverless platforms
  • 6 year’s experience in designing and implementing data visualizations with large datasets (1 million+ records) on analytics platforms such as Tableau
