Job description

Immediate need for a talented AI/ML Engineer. This is a 06+ months contract opportunity with long-term potential and is located in Sunrise City, FL (Hybrid). Please review the job description below and contact me ASAP if you are interested.

Pay Range: $50 - $54/hour. Employee benefits include, but are not limited to, health insurance (medical, dental, vision), 401(k) plan, and paid sick leave (depending on work location).

Key Requirements and Technology Experience:

  • Looking for a true AI/ML Engineer, not just a Java developer with light AI exposure.
  • Strong Java Full Stack background is important, but Python is where a lot of the AI/ML work will happen.
  • Need someone who has integrated AI tools and LLM APIs into applications, not just experimented with ChatGPT or AI concepts.
  • Hands-on experience building ML models using Python libraries like NumPy, Pandas, and Scikit-learn.
  • Should understand core ML concepts: regression, classification, clustering, ensemble models, feature engineering, model training, and evaluation.
  • Experience with deep learning frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch, Keras) is highly desired.
  • Looking for candidates who can build APIs around AI/ML solutions using Flask or FastAPI.
  • Database experience needed (SQL and ideally NoSQL) to support AI-driven applications.
  • Agile/Scrum environment; candidate should be comfortable participating in standups, sprint planning, and client-facing discussions.
  • Strong communication skills are important will need to provide status updates and discuss technical solutions with stakeholders.
  • Git/version control expected.
  • Preference for candidates who have delivered production AI solutions rather than academic or proof-of-concept work only.
  • Hybrid requirement: 3 days per week onsite in Sunrise, FL.
  • 8 12+ years of experience in Java Full Stack development with strong backend Python skills.
  • Hands-on experience with AI tooling, automation, and integrating AI/ML tools and large language model (LLM) APIs.
  • Proficiency in Python and machine learning libraries such as NumPy, Pandas, and Scikit-learn; experience with machine learning algorithms including regression, classification, clustering, and ensembles.
  • Experience with deep learning frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch, or Keras), data preprocessing, feature engineering, model evaluation, REST API development (Flask, FastAPI), database management (SQL/NoSQL), and version control using Git.
