Job description

Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Platform Engineer in support of a long-term Defense project located in Pearl City, Hawaii. The Platform Engineer will facilitate the transition from the current cloud platform to a new environment. This is an onsite opportunity that will provide relocation support if needed.
Responsibilities of the Platform Engineer include:
• Utilize containerization solutions, employ CI/CD tools to host and deploy applications and services
• Implement policy and technical controls to support a multi-tenant architecture (i.e., authentication, databases, backups, and logs)
• Maintain and operate platform and platform related services
• Transition from existing platform to modernized platform with minimal disruption
Qualifications of the Platform Engineer include:
• (2+) years of experience developing and maintaining containerized services deployed in production on orchestration platforms such as Cloud Foundry or Kubernetes
• (2+) years of experience working in Operations, DevOps, or Site Reliability Engineering
• Experience building, securing and maintaining classified systems for DoD networks
Certifications: IAT II required
Clearance: Active Secret clearance or higher
Compensation for the Platform Engineer includes:
Salary Range: $125,000-$140,000+ depending on experience and qualifications
