Job Description Step into a hands-on role where your technical skill and attention to detail directly keep production running smoothly and safely. This is a great opportunity to work with complex equipment, apply your mechanical know-how, and contribute to a high-performing manufacturing environment in Mobile, AL. About the Role: As a Production Technician, you will operate and maintain production equipment to meet daily output targets while adhering to strict safety and quality standards.

You'll use technical schematics and procedures to troubleshoot mechanical issues, minimise downtime, and support consistent, efficient production. Your work will help ensure that equipment runs reliably and that products are manufactured to specification. Key Responsibilities: Operate production machinery and equipment in accordance with standard operating procedures and safety guidelines.

Monitor equipment performance during shifts, identifying irregularities and taking appropriate corrective action. Interpret technical schematics, diagrams, and work instructions to set up, adjust, and maintain production lines. Perform routine mechanical troubleshooting on equipment, diagnosing issues and executing basic repairs or adjustments.

Conduct regular inspections and checks to ensure equipment is safe, clean, and ready for operation. Record production data, downtime events, and maintenance activities accurately for reporting and analysis. Collaborate with maintenance and supervisory staff to escalate complex equipment issues and support repair activities.

Follow all safety protocols, lockout/tagout procedures, and quality standards to maintain a compliant work environment. Key Requirements: Proven experience in a production, manufacturing, or industrial environment operating equipment. Demonstrated ability to read and interpret technical schematics, diagrams, and equipment manuals.

Hands-on mechanical aptitude with experience in troubleshooting mechanical issues on production machinery. Strong commitment to safety compliance, including adherence to established procedures and regulations. Ability to work to production targets and maintain focus in a fast-paced, repetitive environment.

Solid attention to detail with the ability to identify potential equipment or process issues early. Willingness to work on a contract basis with flexibility for assigned shifts. Desirable Skills: Experience in a high-volume manufacturing or assembly line setting.

Familiarity with basic preventive maintenance practices on industrial equipment. Exposure to quality control processes and using measurement tools or gauges. Knowledge of lean manufacturing or continuous improvement principles.

Comfort using computer-based systems for logging production and maintenance data. Qualifications: High school diploma or GED required. Technical or vocational training in industrial technology, mechanical systems, or related field preferred.

Safety-related training or certifications (e.g., OSHA, lockout/tagout) advantageous. Any manufacturer-specific equipment training or certifications considered a plus. If you are a mechanically minded production professional who takes safety seriously and enjoys working with equipment, this role in Mobile, AL could be a strong fit-apply to be considered.
