Role Description

The Warehouse Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Mills River, NC, responsible for overseeing all warehouse operations to ensure accurate, efficient, and safe handling of materials and finished goods. This role manages daily activities including receiving, storage, picking, packing, shipping, and internal material movement, while maintaining inventory accuracy and stock organization. The Warehouse Manager will lead and schedule warehouse staff, assign tasks, monitor performance, and provide training on safety, equipment use, and standard operating procedures. Day-to-day responsibilities include coordinating with production, purchasing, and quality teams to meet customer delivery requirements and optimize warehouse space and workflows. The role also involves enforcing safety and housekeeping standards, maintaining warehouse equipment (including forklifts), tracking key performance metrics, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.


Qualifications

  • Strong inventory-focused skills, including Inventory Management, Inventory Control, and Stock Control, with the ability to maintain accurate records and minimize variances.
  • Operations Management experience in a warehouse or manufacturing environment, including planning, prioritizing, and optimizing warehouse processes.
  • Hands-on equipment capabilities, including safe Forklift Operation and familiarity with other common warehouse material handling equipment.
  • Experience using warehouse or ERP systems, barcoding, and basic data analysis to support decision-making. Epicor ERP system experience a plus.
  • Proven leadership skills, including team supervision, scheduling, coaching, and performance management.
  • Strong commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement within a manufacturing or distribution setting.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments and with multiple levels of the organization.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education in supply chain, operations, or a related field is preferred.
  • Previous warehouse management or lead experience in a manufacturing environment is highly beneficial.
