APIGEE Developer for Dallas, TX location | Strongsville, Ohio, United States APIGEE Developer - Contract to Hire | Strongsville, OH (Preferred) | Multiple US Locations
About the Role
Indotronix is seeking an experienced APIGEE Developer to join our dynamic team on a contract-to-hire basis. This opportunity offers hands-on involvement with new and emerging technologies at one of our direct clients, with a preferred location in Strongsville, OH. You'll drive the design, integration, and optimization of API solutions in a collaborative environment that values innovation, inclusion, and continuous growth. Hybrid flexibility may be discussed, with an eventual shift to full onsite presence.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain robust API solutions using Apigee, API Connect, and DataPower platforms
- Manage all aspects of Apigee Edge, including administration, installation, configuration, and updates
- Consult with engineering teams to define requirements, resolve technical issues, and ensure optimal hardware-software integration
- Lead software system testing, validation, and troubleshooting of integration issues and defects
- Develop and implement documentation, policies, and best practices for API solutions
- Monitor and enhance system performance, reliability, and data quality through continuous improvement initiatives
- Advise on the expansion and standardization of integration toolsets across projects
- Oversee the quality and compliance of project deliverables to meet industry standards
Required Skills and Experience
- 10-20 years of IT experience with proven expertise in Apigee, API Connect, and DataPower
- Proficient in managing Apigee Edge components (Management/UI Servers, Message Processors, Cassandra/Zookeeper, Postgres)
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines and developer portals
- Solid understanding of software development lifecycle, SQL, Java, and J2EE
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving abilities
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills; capable of independent time and project management
Preferred Skills
- Experience in banking or financial services environments
- Familiarity with LDAP, AD, PING, SysLog, Jenkins, XML Spy, SOAPUI
- Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent professional experience
