Community Advocate Sr - RemoteJob Description
The Senior Community Advocate is responsible for supporting residents under Pennsylvania's Pharmaceutical Assistance Contract for the Elderly (PACE) Program. This position establishes relationships with Pennsylvania residents to thoroughly assess each person's situation and circumstances to best assist them in accessing resources. This role is dedicated to delivering a comprehensive client experience through advocacy, service coordination, and application support.
Responsibilities
  • Assists clients in accessing services through comprehensive assessments to determine appropriate assistance and support them with calls, appointments, and benefit coordination
  • Researches and evaluates benefit options, preparing relevant information and applications for Federal, State, Local and other programs to meet an individual client needs
  • Identifies and resolves complex issues using critical thinking and practical problem-solving skills independently
  • Maintains accurate and detailed documentation across multiple systems
  • Other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications
  • High school diploma from an accredited school or equivalent GED
  • 2 years of work experience in customer service or patient care

Must be eligible to work in the United States without the need for work visa or residency sponsorship
Additional Qualifications
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with ability to explain complex information clearly
  • Ability to manage multiple cases independently with attention to detail
  • Ability to maximize resources and work as a team while being comfortable with fast-paced, changing environment and ambiguity
  • Strong organizational, analytical, interpretive, and time management skills

Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous health care, insurance, or pharmaceutical industry experience
