Packagers 1st and 2nd shift

Job Description

This role involves working on a food production line to hand-package a variety of candy and food products on the 2nd shift. You will carefully package products into boxes or single-packaged goods, palletize finished items, and prepare boxed products for shipment while maintaining a clean, safe, and compliant food production environment.

Responsibilities

  • Hand package different types of candy and food products with attention to quality and consistency.
  • Package products into boxes or single packaged goods according to production and packaging specifications.
  • Palletize finished product safely and efficiently for storage or shipment.
  • Box product for shipment, ensuring correct labeling, counts, and secure packaging.
  • Inspect products and packaging visually to identify defects, contamination, or nonconformities.
  • Operate basic production and packaging equipment as directed, following safety and operational procedures.
  • Follow all food safety, hygiene, and quality guidelines while working on the production floor.
  • Lift and move products and boxes weighing up to 20 lbs as part of routine duties.
  • Stand for the entire shift while performing repetitive tasks on the production line.
  • Work with marshmallows and gummy candy made with gelatin, using gloves when needed to avoid direct contact.
  • Comply with all dress code, personal protective equipment, and safety requirements at all times.
  • Store personal items, including cell phones, in designated areas such as lockers or vehicles and keep them off the production floor.

Essential Skills

  • Up to 6 months of production or general labor experience preferred; candidates without prior experience may also qualify.
  • Ability to perform general labor tasks in a fast-paced production environment.
  • Capability to stand for the entire shift while performing repetitive motions.
  • Ability to lift and move up to 20 lbs regularly and safely.
  • Willingness to work with marshmallows and gummy candy made with gelatin, using gloves as needed.
