Operations Manager – South Bend, IN:
Feldco Windows, Siding, Doors amp; Roofing is looking for an experienced and motivated Operations Manager to lead our South Bend, IN market. This is a key leadership role responsible for driving the day-to-day operations of the market and ensuring our customers receive an exceptional experience that delights them at every step, from measurement and scheduling through installation and service.

  • Employment Type: Full-Time (On-Site; No Remote or Hybrid Work)
  • Location: 1612 Commerce Dr Unit 6, South Bend, IN 46628
  • Hours: Mon – Fri from 7:30 AM – 4:30 PM, with occasional evening and/or Saturday availability required based on business needs.
  • Salary: $55,000 - $60,000 base salary + performance-based bonus potential
Job Summary:
The Operations Department is responsible for the scheduling, measuring, purchasing, installation, and service of windows, siding, doors, and roofing. This position requires the ability to maximize the performance of the Market by directing daily, weekly, and monthly operational activities while providing leadership, motivation, training, and development to the Operations Department staff. Position Responsibilities:
  • Ensure all customer contract requirements are properly documented and executed to a degree that delights, not just satisfies, our customers.
  • Oversee the scheduling and completion of customer measurements, installations, and service appointments to ensure work is completed accurately, efficiently, and within expected timelines.
  • Utilize Feldco’s CRM and inventory management systems to effectively manage customer contracts, appointments, scheduling, inventory, and customer delight programs.
  • Ensure installers and technicians have the tools, materials, equipment, and support needed to perform their duties safely and effectively each day.
  • Monitor installation quality and productivity, providing technicians and installers with ongoing coaching, guidance, training, and support to ensure work meets Feldco’s quality and performance standards.
  • Provide hands-on leadership in the field by managing escalated customer complaints and service concerns, working directly with customers, technicians, installers, and internal teams to resolve issues and support the operational needs of the Market.
  • Address employee performance issues through timely coaching, feedback, and corrective action when performance does not meet expectations.
  • Conduct performance reviews for Operations employees with a focus on employee development, performance improvement, and succession planning.
  • Optimize productivity, inventory, equipment, and facility space to support efficient operations and product placement.
  • Operate within the agreed-upon budget for the operation, including overtime, purchasing, materials, and other operational expenses.
  • Monitor key operational performance metrics and identify opportunities to improve productivity, quality, efficiency, and customer delight.
  • Recruit, develop, and manage relationships with qualified subcontracted crews to meet the installation and service needs of the Market while ensuring they consistently meet Feldco’s quality, productivity, and customer delight standards.
  • Ensure company policies and operational, safety, regulatory, accounting, and administrative requirements are properly communicated, administered, and enforced.
Position Requirements:
  • At least 5+ years of experience within the Home improvement and construction industry.
  • At least 2+ years of prior management experience within the Home improvement and construction industry.
  • Prior scheduling experience.
  • Detailed oriented, organized and efficient. No tolerance for errors or oversights.
  • Problem solving skills necessary to diagnose, implement and complete installations and service calls which result in total customer delight.
