Public Health Rn

This position is in Augusta, GA and does not offer relocation assistance. Must be within a reasonable commuting distance. If relocating to the area, please specify on the application. Starting Salary $60,000 increase to $62,500 once ERN training is complete. We protect lives. Administer immunizations and conduct screenings Educate the public about preventing communicable diseases such as flu, COVID-19, Tuberculosis, etc Provide clinical services for patients requiring annual exams, STI services and pregnancy tests Follow medically directed clinical protocols to provide care and administer medications and treatments to patients Provide health care information at outreach events and assist in community involvement opportunities The registered nurse is a vital component of the DPH health services, lending aid to community health assessments, health education, disease prevention and control, emergency preparedness and advocacy and policy support All East Central Health District 6 employees are deemed essential workers in the event of an emergency. As such, you may be called on to participate in an event including but not limited to: staffing a shelter, working at a Specimen Point of Collection Site (SPOC) and/or working at a Point of Dispensing site (POD). If you are called on to participate, you are required to report to the designated site as a condition of employment, whether the emergency occurs during or outside regular work hours.

BSN required from accredited University, American Heart BLS certification Preferred Qualifications: DPH background/prior employment desired At least 1 year nursing experience EMR experience Women's Health experience desired Immunization administrations/GRITS knowledge Under the pre-employment fitness-for-duty this position is considered a Category 4: Health-related: Positions where medical knowledge and skills are required, such as nurses or therapists.
