Essential Functions:
Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
These crews are responsible for going into residential and commercial areas working on underground utilities and working with their crew to complete tasks for the day.
Roles and Responsibilities:Â
- Assist crew leader in construction/ reconstruction and maintenance workÂ
- Assist equipment operators, swamping, hand digging, locating underground obstructionsÂ
- Work with specialized equipment including jackhammers, rotary drills, power actuated fasteners and other necessary toolsÂ
- Signal equipment operators to facilitate alignment, movement, and adjustment of machinery, equipment, and materialsÂ
- Work safely around backhoes, excavators, trenchers and dump truckÂ
- Clean and prepare construction sites to eliminate possible hazardsÂ
- Complete duties as assigned.

- Ability to perform heavy manual labor for extended periods, often under adverse climatic conditions.Â
- Ability to lift up to 80 lbs multiple times during a work shiftÂ
