Job description

The Director of Sales drives strategic growth by building relationships across the mining industry and positioning Turner Mining Group's capabilities to key decision makers. This role is responsible for developing and managing a pipeline of qualified opportunities, shaping win strategies, and securing multi-year contract mining and earthmoving work.

Key Responsibilities

Pipeline & Account Development

  • Build and manage a strong pipeline aligned to strategic targets
  • Develop relationships with decision makers and key stakeholders
  • Identify, prioritize, and advance high-potential opportunities
  • Represent the company at industry events

Opportunity Strategy

  • Lead sales strategy for active pursuits (including SSO development)
  • Define positioning, differentiation, and competitive approach
  • Align internal teams and disqualify low-probability opportunities

Technical Sales Support

  • Guide application engineering with clear customer insights and priorities
  • Ensure technical efforts align with customer needs and competitive positioning

Pursuit & Close

  • Lead opportunities through pursuit and closing stages
  • Coordinate proposals, estimating, and strategy execution
  • Maintain engagement with decision makers and support negotiations

Accountability

  • Achieve sales objectives and revenue targets
  • Maintain high-quality pipeline and win rates
  • Build strong relationships within target accounts

Scope
