Millwright Journeyman | Lemont, IL


Flowtec Group is partnering with a top-tier specialty service company that has over 30 years serving the energy industry, providing installation, maintenance, and repair services for rotating and fixed equipment at refineries, chemical plants, and power generation facilities across the U.S.

We're seeking an experienced Millwright Journeyman to join their team in Lemont, IL. This is a hands-on union role focused on precision work on rotating equipment in a refinery environment.

Ideal Candidate Profile:


  • 5+ years of millwright experience in an industrial, refinery, or petrochemical environment
  • NCCER Level Four Millwright certification preferred
  • Hands-on experience with rotating equipment: pumps, steam turbines, reciprocating compressors, fin fans, gearboxes
  • Precision alignment, calibration, and mechanical seal work
  • Proficient with precision measurement instruments (micrometers, calipers, dial indicators, bore gauges)
  • Knowledge of laser alignment tools (Rotalign or equivalent) a plus
  • Blueprint and schematic reading
  • Active TWIC card required at start
  • Candidates expected to provide their own basic hand tools; specialty tooling provided
  • Must pass background check and drug screen
  • Strong safety mindset, daily JSA compliance is required
