Job description

About STUDSON

STUDSON builds premium head protection for people in the trades. Our Type II safety helmets combine KOROYD, Twiceme, and multi-directional impact protection in a product built for real job site conditions. We are a small team growing fast across construction, energy, utilities, manufacturing, and industrial trades in the US, Canada, and Europe.

This is a build role. You will own our digital storefront scaling it from a single-market Shopify site into a multi-region commerce operation serving both direct customers and a national distributor network.

The Role

You own STUDSON's digital storefront and the revenue that runs through it. That means Shopify, Amazon, and the systems that connect them, across every market we sell in.

The near-term priority is building a Distributor ordering experience that actually works. Current partners place orders through a mix of email, phone, and PDF. You will build the system that moves that process online: individual distributor logins, account-specific contract pricing, saved configurations and mockups, and reorder workflows that take minutes instead of days. This is the single largest digital initiative on our 2027 roadmap and it will carry its own budget.

You will also inherit a growing martech stack and a mandate to keep it lean. Every app, plugin, and connector on the platform should earn its line item.

What You Will Own

Shopify and DTC Site merchandising, collection architecture, PDP structure, and navigation. Conversion rate optimization and A/B testing. Site performance and analytics. Day-to-day management of our web development agency, including scope, priorities, and sprint direction.

Distributor commerce (B2B) Create and own the distributor ordering portal end to end, from requirements through launch and iteration. This does not exist today. You are building it from the ground up: login provisioning, price list architecture, saved mockups and configurations, quote and reorder flows, and integration with NetSuite, which runs our ERP and order management. You will work directly with Sales, Operations, and our national accounts team to make sure what gets built matches how distributors actually buy.

Amazon Full channel P&L including Seller Central operations, listing quality, Premium A+ content, inventory presentation, and retail media spend. You decide whether media execution stays with an agency or comes in-house.

Lifecycle and CRM Our Klaviyo program, in partnership with Digital Marketing. Lifecycle strategy is a shared initiative between this role and Digital Marketing, and you will own the commerce side of it: flow architecture tied to purchase behavior, segmentation, and deliverability. STUDSON runs a no-discount email policy, so this work builds value through education, product fit, and technical content rather than promotion.

International commerce Storefront architecture for Canada and Europe as those markets open. Regional routing, localized pricing and currency, language variants, and coordination with our localization partner on translated content. Canadian French requirements are a compliance matter, not a nice-to-have.

Martech and budget Ownership of a defined ecommerce technology budget. Regular audit of the Shopify app ecosystem, connectors, and platform subscriptions. You are accountable for consolidating overlapping tools and eliminating spend that does not produce measurable return.

What We Are Looking For

Required

Five or more years in ecommerce, with at least three managing a Shopify or Shopify Plus storefront as a primary responsibility.

Hands-on Amazon Seller Central experience, including A+ content and advertising.

Demonstrated ownership of a commerce project from requirements through launch.

Experience managing external agencies or development partners, including scope and budget accountability.

Comfort with data. You should be able to pull what you need from GA4 and Shopify analytics without waiting on someone else.

Strongly preferred

B2B or wholesale commerce experience, particularly custom pricing, customerโ€‘specific catalogs, or dealer and distributor portals.

Background in industrial, tools, outdoor hardgoods, or another category where product specifications and certifications drive the purchase decision.

Experience integrating a storefront with NetSuite or a comparable ERP, including inventory, pricing, and order sync.

Klaviyo or comparable lifecycle platform experience.

Multiโ€‘region or multiโ€‘currency storefront experience.

Not required

PPE or safety industry background. We would rather hire a strong commerce operator and teach them the category.

STUDSON is an equal opportunity employer. We evaluate all applicants without regard to any characteristic protected by federal, state, or local law.
