Respiratory Therapist, AHS, Contract/Agency

Overview

Description

This position is a Contracted Respiratory Therapist (RT) via AHS Staffing Agency. Flexible contractor positions from 8-24 weeks with very competitive rates. Day Shift 6:30a-6:30p with NO CALL!

Position Summary

Assists in the diagnosis, treatment and management of patients with pulmonary disorders. Collects and analyzes sputum, blood and breath specimens to determine levels of oxygen, carbon dioxide and other gases. Also measures the lung capacity of a patient to determine if there is impaired function. Performs all respiratory therapy procedures and cardiac diagnostic procedures throughout the hospital.

Qualifications

Education

  • 2 year/Associate Degree
  • Credentialed by the National Board for Respiratory Care as a Registered Respiratory Therapist and licensed by the State of Kansas as a Respiratory Care Practitioner
  • BLS
  • ACLS
  • NRP
  • PALS

Experience

  • Less than one year

  • Medium work- Exert up to 50 lbs. force occasionally, and/or up to 10 lbs. constantly.
  • Stand for 1 hour per day

  • Hear alarms/telephone/tape recorder/normal speaking voice
  • Have good manual dexterity
  • Have good eye/hand/foot coordination
  • Have clarity of vision: Mid (>20=-<20=)
