We're hiring a Quality Inspector / Quality Technician for a growing custom fabrication shop in Franklin Park. This is a great opportunity for candidates with quality inspection experience who want a stable first-shift position with consistent overtime and room for advancement. Pay & Schedule Pay: $19.00 - $22.00/hr Shift: 1st Shift Monday-Friday Weekly overtime available What You'll Do Inspect fabricated metal parts and assemblies to ensure they meet customer specifications Read blueprints, drawings, and work orders to verify product requirements Measure parts using calipers, micrometers, tape measures, gauges, and other inspection tools Perform in-process and final inspections before products move to the next stage or ship to customers Verify dimensions, tolerances, weld quality, and overall workmanship Document inspection results and maintain quality records Identify defects and communicate quality concerns to production teams Help maintain quality standards throughout the manufacturing process Work closely with welding, fabrication, machining, and production personnel to ensure high-quality products What We're Looking For 1+ year of quality inspection experience in manufacturing Ability to read and interpret blueprints and engineering drawings Experience using measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, gauges, and tape measures Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality Ability to work independently and make sound quality decisions Comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment Experience That Helps You Stand Out Metal fabrication Welding or weld inspection Sheet metal manufacturing Structural steel fabrication CNC machining environments Quality Control (QC) Quality Assurance (QA) First Article Inspection (FAI) GD&T Custom fabrication or job shop manufacturing Why Apply?
