Job description
The Association of Test Preparation, Admissions, and Private Tutoring (TPAPT) is looking for passionate Grade 1-5 Educational Specialists to join one of our awesome chapters.
The ideal candidate will work one-on-one with students who require reading/math/executive function intervention and support.
Position: Grade 1-5 Educational Therapist
Locations: Multiple locations, US
Classification: Contract (1099)
The Role:
- Provide individualized instruction using evidence based instruction to support to students diagnosed with one or more of the following: ADD/ADHD, ASD, Executive Dysfunction
- Utilize our assessment tools to identify specific areas of need for each student.
- Develop and implement personalized learning plans that address students' unique challenges.
- Monitor student progress and make adjustments to instruction as needed.
- Collaborate with parents and educators to communicate student progress and strategies for support.
- Create a positive and encouraging learning environment that motivates students to achieve their reading goals.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree Special Education, Speech Language Pathology, or a closely related discipline.
- Certification as a Reading or Math Specialist or SPED certification
- Experience working with neurodivergent students
- Strong understanding of intervention strategies and evidence-based practices.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to build rapport and encourage students to enhance their reading skills.
- Availability to work flexible hours, including after-school and weekend sessions.
