About the Role
As a Sylvan Teacher, youll deliver personalized instruction in math and/or ELA using our proven, engaging programs. Youll create balanced, fun learning sessions that help elementary students grow all in a low-pressure, rewarding setting.
Key Requirement:
  • Availability during school hours (MondayThursday, mornings and early afternoons) is essential for this position.
What Youll Do:
  • Greet and engage students, making every session welcoming and inspiring
  • Teach using Sylvans structured, research-based math and ELA programs
  • Celebrate progress with praise, encouragement, and Sylvan tokens
  • Track student growth and communicate successes with center staff
  • Help maintain a safe, positive, and motivating environment
What Were Looking For:
  • Current or retired K-12 teacher (or strong experience with this age group)
  • Experience teaching math up to Pre-Algebra and/or ELA/Reading
  • A genuine passion for motivating and inspiring students
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Flexibility, problem-solving ability, and a team-player attitude
  • Degree in Education, Mathematics, English, or related field is a plus
