Job description

Position: On site contract Manufacturing Engineer - Equipment Development

Location: San Francisco, CA.

Hourly Rate: 55.00-75.00 Depending on experience

As a Manufacturing Engineer, Equipment Development, your responsibility is to work with manufacturing team to prepare readiness of process and tooling for high volume production. This will be a hands-on position to support process design, tooling development and validation, process capability and throughput improvements. There will be collaboration work with design engineers to ensure new designs meet design for manufacturability goals, which may require implement of design changes for sustaining products, resolve technical issues from manufacturing process, and perform failure analysis to seek for optimum solutions in production.


•Develop equipment to support new product development

•Work with tooling vender to develop equipment for high-volume manufacturing

•Improve equipment efficiency for high volume sustainability

•This position will require international travel


Basic Qualifications

•Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field (Electronics, Mechanical, Mechatronics)

•Min 5 -10 years’ experience in electronics manufacturing equipment development.

•Experience in developing high precision equipment and automation tools development

•Experience in tooling and equipment design using SOLIDWORK

•Experience in equipment project management

•Experience in smart maintenance systems


Preferred Qualifications

•Experience in Micro-Electronic Manufacturing, Optical Assembly, Testers Development, tooling and Automation development is preferable.
