Position Summary
We are seeking a skilled Manufacturing Engineer to support Project Clipper, focused on advancing smart manufacturing initiatives through IIoT (Industrial Internet of Things) and Industry 4.0 technologies. This role will bridge manufacturing equipment with software systems, enabling data-driven operations and improved production efficiency.
This position requires a strong blend of manufacturing engineering and IT expertise, with hands-on involvement in system integration, technical design, and production support.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and implement technical solutions to support complex manufacturing and business needs
Integrate manufacturing equipment with software systems to enable IIoT/Industry 4.0 capabilities
Provide technical planning, system architecture, and application design
Support production equipment with IT services, including troubleshooting hardware and software issues
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define system requirements and process improvements
Contribute technical expertise to projects, including system design, testing, and implementation
Analyze business problems and develop automated system solutions
Manage and collaborate with external IT vendors on solution development
Support AI/ML-driven applications within manufacturing environments

Applications & Software Development
Analyze, design, configure, test, and support software solutions across the full lifecycle
Develop and debug applications; execute test plans to ensure performance and functionality
Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends
Computing & Systems
Design and manage computing systems including servers, storage, and databases
Experience with cloud technologies (IaaS/PaaS), virtualization, and system validation
Troubleshoot hardware/software issues and manage system updates
Networking
Design and maintain network infrastructure, including configuration and validation
Familiarity with modern networking technologies such as software-defined networking and security protocols
Security
Implement and maintain cybersecurity measures, including firewalls and encryption
Monitor and respond to security threats and vulnerabilities
Enforce access controls and security policies
Qualifications
Bachelorโs degree in Engineering, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience)
4โ5 years of relevant experience in manufacturing engineering, IT systems, or related field
Strong understanding of Industry 4.0, IIoT, and manufacturing system integration
Experience working independently and managing technical projects
Exposure to AI/ML applications in manufacturing environments is a plus
