This Contracts Manager role will provide an opportunity to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment managing some of your own contracts as well as managing other Contract professionals who are actively supporting numerous contracts and multiple millions of dollars of ongoing proposal activity. This role involves interfacing with all levels of management and functions (Program Office, Finance, Operations, Engineering, Quality, etc.) within BAE Systems as well as with our USAF Customer and some commercial customers.
As the Contracts Manager, you will work with internal team members and our customers to shape and close business opportunities in concert with internal objectives for the EAS Product Line.
Daily responsibilities to include, but are not limited to:
Management of personnel, their workloads and their development plans for future growth.
Consistently work on and provide guidance on complex assignments requiring independent action and a high degree of initiative to resolve issues as well as an understanding and compliance with company policies and procedures.
Ability to interact with the team to gather, interpret, analyze, and develop recommended strategies and present information.
Compliance with Company policies and procedures, legal, regulatory and customer requirements.
Prepare, negotiate, and manage complex proposals and contracts.
Provide guidance to Program, Subcontracts, Engineering, and Operation teams on government and commercial contracting methods for military equipment while protecting our Intellectual Property rights.
Cross functional collaboration with Program Management, Finance, Operations, Quality and Export teams. * Proficiency in MS Office software with an emphasis on Excel;
* FAR/DFAR knowledge and experience, including FAR Part 12;
* Exercise discretion and independent judgment in the performance of duties set forth above;
* Communicate effectively both orally and in writing;
* Exhibit sound interpersonal skills involving interfacing, coordinating and negotiating with company personnel and customers;
* Utilize computer skills to prepare appropriate reports and documents;
* Make decisions using sound judgment while complying with policies, procedures, appropriate principles and applicable federal laws and regulations;
* Demonstrate research and presentation skills;
* In-depth knowledge of federal procurement regulations, export compliance, with an emphasis of Department of Defense. Broad knowledge of economics, accounting, finance, procurement, cost/schedule control systems, business law, and the ITAR;
* Proven ability to negotiate and persuade, to communicate orally and in writing at all levels;
* Ability to plan and organize work, and potential to develop and lead professional and support personnel
* Active SECRET Security clearance and ability to obtain Top Secret Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills Bachelor's degree in Business or related field.

Full-Time Salary Range: $118747 - $201870 Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
