Haigh-Farr is a premier antenna design, manufacturing and test house developing products used across all platforms in the aerospace industry including missions to Mars, the International Space Station and products fielded to the U.S. Military supporting the warfighter. Haigh-Farr is seeking an experienced Contracts Manager to become a part of a corporate contracts team supporting Haigh-Farr. The Contracts Manager will support through every aspect of the contract lifecycle and act as a valued team member to program management, business development and leaders across Haigh-Farr.

This position will be embedded in a mission focused operations group and responsible for supporting business development and program teams in proposal activity, as well as providing contract management and administrative support for multiple commercial/non-commercial, prime contracts/subcontracts within various Business Units. The Contracts Manager must be a team player with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast paced, dynamic environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide strategic direction, leadership guidance, and functional expertise to a team of contracts professionals while escalating up high level issues and keeping leadership informed. Act as a lead for conflict resolution of contract issues, while mentoring and training team members for similar results
  • Perform contract management and administrative duties throughout the contract lifecycle including, but not limited to, proposal review and preparation, leading pre and post award negotiations, executing contract modifications, initiating contract close-outs and providing overall program support for complex, multi-year contracts.
  • Lead contract negotiations with variety of customers, mainly DoD and various Industry partners
  • Manage and mentor other Contracts Professionals and advise Program Managers and Business Leaders
  • Responsible for ensuring that agreements/terms and conditions comply with all applicable regulations and requirements, while also adhering to company policies.
  • Advise and provide guidance to leadership on contractual rights, obligations and provide contract interpretation of terms and conditions, while providing risk mitigation strategies
  • Proactively engage with program teams and customers to ensure that programs are executing to contract requirements, managing scope, and mitigating risks throughout contract execution
  • Ensure that terms and conditions comply with all contract requirements, internal policies and all Federal, State and applicable laws.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with stakeholders across the organization, including regular senior management level briefings on key issues.


Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree (Business Administration, Finance, Supply Chain, or related field) is required or equivalent combination of education, training and experience in contract management in the DoD/Intelligence community.
  • Minimum of 5 + years of directly relevant experience
  • Significant senior level experience in directly related DoD/Federal prime government contract administration/management,
  • Background working full spectrum of contract types
  • An ability to translate between business and technical risk and communicate clearly to leadership.
  • Proven Contract Drafting and Negotiation skills.
  • Proficient use of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Project, Outlook)
  • FAR/DFAR knowledge; OTA knowledge, working knowledge of US Government acquisition laws and regulations
  • Broad experience with a variety of contract types: firm fixed price, cost-type, commercial/non-commercial, production, development, license, non-disclosure and teaming agreements

Qualifications:

  • Federal Contract Manager (CFCM) certified is a plus
  • International and commercial contract experience desired; including Foreign Military and/or Direct Commercial Sales.
