Job Summary for Contracts Manager – Defense and Aerospace
- Review, analyze, and negotiate contracts, subcontracts, and legal agreements for defense and aerospace projects.
- Ensure compliance with laws, regulations (FAR, DFARS), and industry standards.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate contractual risks, liabilities, and obligations.
- Collaborate with legal, procurement, project management, and other internal departments.
- Develop and maintain contract templates, standard operating procedures, and documentation.
- Monitor contract performance, deliverables, and compliance throughout project lifecycle.
- Serve as primary point of contact for contract-related matters with clients, suppliers, and internal teams.
- Provide guidance and support to project teams on contract terms, conditions, and issues.
- Implement effective change management processes and assess impact of contract modifications.
- Identify and propose strategies for mitigating contract risks and liabilities.
- Conduct periodic contract audits to ensure adherence to terms and regulatory requirements.
- Stay updated on relevant laws, regulations, and industry best practices (including ITAR/export controls).
