Job Overview: This position is responsible for supporting the legal department and staff attorneys related to all corporate legal matters. Areas of responsibility include evaluating legal/contractual documents for compliance with terms and conditions, legal correspondence with Loomis customers, legal evaluations, litigation, and monitoring sensitive risk/financial-related data for trending. This position reports to the VP Legal Services.
Job responsibilities:
  • Support Loomis attorneys in reviewing, negotiating, and drafting i) service agreements; ii) vendor agreements; iii) real estate agreements; and iv) other cash management agreements. Responsible for ensuring contract terms and conditions meet the company's contracting requirements
  • Frequent interaction with internal and external stakeholders, including customers, vendors, landlords, and others, along with external counsel
  • Routing legal notices and correspondence to the appropriate internal departments
  • Limited contract review, revision, and redlining (depending on experience)
  • Performing document and contract management
  • Processing contract amendments
  • Litigation support
  • Supporting negotiation of Non-Disclosure Agreements
  • Responding to various legal requests from sales teams
  • Support research regarding legal contracting and contract management tools
  • Responding to internal requests for contractual templates
  • Assist with contract dispute tracking and analysis
  • Compliance
    • Supporting review and processing of legal invoices
    • Supporting with departmental project audits
    • Auditing petty cash (receipting process)
    • Licensing issues
  • Other duties as assigned.

Primary Qualifications:
  • College degree with paralegal experience in handling corporate legal work, including real estate, contract negotiation, litigation, employment preferred
  • Minimum of five years paralegal or contracts manager experience required
  • Experience in either the transportation or financial services industries is a plus

Individual Skills and Competencies:
  • Excellent technical skills including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, are required
  • Experience in an environment that requires multitasking and strong organizational skills
  • Proven written and oral communication skills
