Job description

Our Line Cooks prepare the signature, quality food our brand is known for. The ideal line cook cares about the details, remains calm in the face of multiple complicated tickets, and has a willingness to learn new cooking techniques and menu items.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Efficiently prepares food items as ordered.

  • Exercises food safety and kitchen sanitation practices in to deliver a quality product.

  • Weighs, measures, and mixes ingredients according to recipes.

  • Properly prepares meat, fish, vegetables, and other foods.

  • Reviews daily assignments with supervisor.

  • Plans for anticipated demand throughout shift.

  • Maintains cleanliness and working order of work area, tools, equipment, and supplies.

  • Prepares and maintains the line and par levels as required by the current menu.

  • Keeps walk in cooler/freezer organized.

  • May assist with inventory, temp logs and waste logs.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Knowledge of food service regulations.

  • Skillfully uses hand tools or machines needed for the position.

  • Able to work in fast paced environment.

  • Able to lift, carry, or pull objects that may be heavy; able to stand for extended periods of time.

  • Able to prioritize, organize, and manage multiple tasks.

GENERAL NOTES

  • Line Cook will be required to work varying schedules as dictated by the business needs of the hotel. This includes attendance at all scheduled brand and job specific training sessions and meetings. May require nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Consistent attendance in accordance to the standards set forth by Converge Hospitality Group must be maintained and is an essential element of the success in this role. If the Line Cook is unable to meet these requirements, he/she will be subject to disciplinary action based on franchisee operating policies, up to and including termination of employment.
