Landscape Production Supervisor
Location: Gainesville GA
Pay: Salary: $45-55k
Job Summary
Landscape Management Company, part of LUSA Group, a national commercial landscape maintenance company, is seeking an experienced Landscape Production Supervisor to join our Gainesville, GA team.
The Landscape Production Supervisor is responsible for assisting in the overall management of the landscape maintenance operation by overseeing production, quality control, staffing, safety, training, and the performance of Crew Leaders and maintenance crews. This position ensures work is completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards while supporting operational and customer service goals.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Other duties may be assigned as needed.
  • Oversee the timely completion and quality of all landscape maintenance services within the assigned portfolio of properties.
  • Monitor and control budgeted labor hours, direct costs, and indirect operating expenses.
  • Train and mentor Crew Leaders to improve crew efficiency, productivity, and quality of work.
  • Maintain regular communication with customers regarding routine service needs while supporting the Account Manager in delivering exceptional customer service.
  • Assist in coordinating and supervising irrigation, pest control, and landscape enhancement projects.
  • Ensure all employees comply with company policies, safety standards, and training requirements.
  • Monitor equipment maintenance programs to ensure all equipment remains in safe operating condition and preventative maintenance schedules are followed.
  • Verify that crew members are properly trained in the safe operation of all equipment.
  • Review and approve daily labor hours and weekly payroll submissions.
  • Fill in for field positions, including Gardener, Crew Leader, or Irrigation Technician, when necessary due to employee absences or operational needs.
  • Assist the Operations Manager and Account Manager with estimating labor hours and pricing for new maintenance contracts, enhancement projects, seasonal color installations, and other services.
  • Demonstrate working knowledge of commercial irrigation systems, including controller programming, valve troubleshooting, lateral line repairs, sprinkler head replacement, and drip irrigation repairs.
  • Follow all established company policies, procedures, and safety guidelines.
  • Maintain the confidentiality of company information and sign a Non-Disclosure and Non-Competition Agreement as a condition of employment.
  • Work overtime or weekends when required to meet operational needs.
  • Arrive at least 20 minutes before crews depart each morning and remain available for at least 30 minutes after crews complete the workday.
    Working Conditions
    • Work is performed primarily outdoors in varying weather conditions, including temperatures ranging from approximately 20°F to over 105°F, with occasional exposure to light rain.
    • Regular exposure to dust, pollen, fertilizers, pesticides, chemicals, noise, and other environmental conditions common to the commercial landscape industry.
    • Frequent exposure to moving machinery, commercial vehicles, traffic, and other hazards associated with landscape maintenance operations.

Qualifications
  • Driver's license with clean driving record
  • Previous experience in commercial landscape in a similar role
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong customer service and leadership skills.
  • Flexible and able to adapt to changing operational priorities.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred but not required, with the ability to read and write in English.
  • Valid Georgia driver's license with a driving record acceptable to the company's insurance provider.
  • Basic mathematical skills, including the ability to calculate figures, labor hours, and job costs.
  • Previous commercial landscape maintenance supervisory experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of irrigation systems and landscape maintenance best practices.
