Join the College of Western Idaho as a Registered Nursing Instructor and help prepare the next generation of compassionate, highly skilled nurses. In this full-time faculty role, you'll deliver engaging classroom, lab, and clinical instruction, mentor and advise students, and collaborate with colleagues to continuously enhance curriculum and student success. Teaching assignments may include CWI's Canyon County Center in Nampa and affiliated clinical sites. Key Responsibilities:

Deliver Exceptional Nursing Instruction

  • Teach classroom, lab, simulation, and/or clinical courses using engaging, student-centered instructional practices.
  • Assess student learning, provide timely feedback, and support student achievement and professional growth.
  • Foster a positive, inclusive, and supportive learning environment that promotes student success.

Develop and Enhance Nursing Curriculum

  •  Collaborate with faculty to develop, evaluate, and improve nursing curriculum, instructional materials, and assessment methods.
  • Integrate current nursing practice, evidence-based education, and instructional technology into course delivery.
  • Maintain high academic standards and ensure curriculum aligns with program and accreditation requirements.

Support Student Success and Program Excellence

  • Advise and mentor students throughout their educational journey and support their academic and professional development.
  • Participate in program planning, assessment, accreditation activities, and continuous quality improvement initiatives.
  • Contribute to departmental, college, and community activities that strengthen the nursing program and student outcomes.

Engage in Professional Growth and College Service

  • Maintain current knowledge of nursing practice, education, and healthcare trends through ongoing professional development.
  • Build collaborative relationships with faculty, staff, clinical partners, and community stakeholders.
  • Serve on committees and participate in college initiatives that support institutional goals and student success.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in nursing
  • Ability to adapt to a variety of teaching methodologies including lectures, group activities, individual instruction, distance learning, and teaching with technology.
  • Commitment to professional growth and development.
  • Ability to advise students.
  • Proficiency in the usage of the internet, email, word processing, spreadsheet, and presentation software applications.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in nursing (MSN)
  • Experience using instructional technology to deliver courses online preferred

  • This is an evening/weekend position.
  • Successful candidates must reside in Idaho within a reasonable commuting distance from CWI.
