Job description

Cath Lab Technologist- Contract Role
Location: Newburyport, MA, 01950
Shift: Days – 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM
Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week
Weekly Pay Rate: $3,000 - $3,200; (Negotiable based on experience)

    Responsibilities:

    • Assist in all phases of cardiac catheterization and interventional radiology (IR) procedures.
    • Operate and maintain imaging equipment to ensure accurate and high-quality diagnostic images.
    • Prepare patients for procedures, explain processes, and ensure safety and comfort throughout.
    • Scrub, circulate, and monitor during procedures as required.
    • Collaborate with the healthcare team to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.
    • Maintain detailed documentation of procedures and patient records.
    • Ensure compliance with all hospital, state, and federal regulations and safety standards.

    Requirements:

    • Experience: Must have recent and relevant experience in a Cardiac Cath Lab (IR experience is a plus, but strong cath experience is essential).
    • Education: Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
    • Certifications:
      • ARRT (R) Certification – Required
      • Massachusetts Radiologic Technologist License – Required
      • BCLS (Basic Life Support) – Required
      • ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) – Required
    • Must demonstrate strong procedural knowledge and critical thinking in high-stress situations.
    • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
