LAB TECHNICIAN

Job Description

Job Overview

Reporting to the AQC Group Lead, the Lab Technician provides support the day-to-day activities of Chemists within the analytical quality control laboratory to ensure project timelines are met and cGMP standards are followed.

Reporting Structure

This position reports to the AQC Group Lead.

Key Responsibilities:

Sampling of incoming materials.
Perform expired chemicals, reagents and supplies checks
General laboratory and sampling room cleaning (daily, weekly and monthly) & maintaining respective areas in an organized manner.
Perform testing as required and applicable (ex: TOC, pH, dimensional analysis, etc.)
Document laboratory work according to, GDP, cGMPs, and SOPs.
Preparation of stability summary reports as needed.
Perform Glassware cleaning.
Entering purchase requests for laboratory consumables and contract laboratory testing.
Managing laboratory waste.
Management and archival of laboratory data.
Assistance with shipment paperwork for contract lab testing.
Following safety procedures in laboratory and sampling areas.
Use of systems including SAP, Ensur and S4HANA

Qualifications:

High School Diploma or equivalent

2+ years working with a laboratory or manufacturing environment
Experience working with potent or cytotoxic materials preferred.
Working experience in a GMP environment preferred.

High level of proficiency operating all Microsoft Office applications
Excellent communication skills, both verbally and in writing
Detail oriented and organized
Demonstrated ability to work within a team environment, supporting a continuous operation manufacturing facility
Excellent problem solving, communication, and interpersonal skills
Ability to follow written instructions
Familiar with OSHA safety regulations
